Pam Maples is managing editor of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a newspaper that is learning the joys and pains of integrating its online and print newsgathering/publishing operations. She joined the paper in October 2006 from The Dallas Morning News, where she was assistant managing editor/investigations and projects. In 2005-06, she was a Knight Fellow in journalism at Stanford University, where she explored digital journalism strategies. She belongs to several journalism organizations. In Dallas, she was a member of the reporting team that was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for a series about violence against women around the world. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
